Arrive Auckland
Arrive at the Auckland International Airport and you will be transferred to the hotel. For some adrenaline rush, you can opt for Bungee Jumping from the Auckland Bridge or Skywalk on the Auckland Sky Tower (optional). Overnight in Auckland.
Auckland – Bay of Islands
Today, travel north over Auckland’s Harbour Bridge and along the Hibiscus Coast. There is an opportunity to view the mighty Kauri Trees en-route. The journey continues, travelling throughWhangarei, Northland’s only major city and port, before arriving in the beautiful Bay of Islands. This afternoon, you can visit the Waitangi Treaty Grounds (optional) to learn about New Zealand’s historic treaty signed between the British Crown and the Maori Chieftains. Following this, take a ‘Hole in the Rock and Cape Brett’ cruise. If you wish, you may disembark from this cruise in romantic Russell and take some time to explore this historic town, returning to Paihia by local ferry at your leisure. Overnight in Paihia.
Bay of Islands
Day is at leisure, to enjoy the Bay of Islands and Northland. You can take an optional Cape Reinga and 90 Mile Beach Day Tour or take time to explore historic Russell or Kerikeri. Overnight in Paihia.
Bay of Islands – Auckland
After breakfast, you will get free time till your coach departs for Auckland. Arrive in Auckland and get transferred to the hotel and check-in. Overnight in Auckland.
Auckland – Rotorua
Depart for Waitomo for a guided tour of the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Continue over the Mamaku Ranges to reach the ‘Thermal City’ of Rotorua. Thereafter, start your Skyline Rotorua adventure, by taking a leisurely uphill Gondola and enjoy the extensive views of Rotorua. Overnight in Rotorua.
Rotorua
After breakfast, visit Wai-O-Tapu. A spectacular showcase of New Zealand’s most colourful and unique geothermal elements sculpted by thousands of years of volcanic activity. Wai-O-Tapu is rightly called a thermal wonderland. Following this, visit Rainbow Springs to see New Zealand’s trout, birds and wildlife before continuing to the Agrodome for a New Zealand farm show featuring sheep dog demonstrations, cow milking and an introduction to the stars of the sheep industry. The afternoon is at leisure. You may like to visit Polynesian Pools (optional) to relax in the healing thermal waters. This evening, enjoy an authentic Maori Hangi (feast) and Concert. Rotorua – Wellington
Travel through the Manawatu Gorge to Palmerston North, travelling down the Kapiti Coast to arrive in the ‘capital city’ of Wellington. Wellington is easily the country’s most happening place, stretched around its waterfront and sheltered by houses clinging to lush green hills. Some of the country’s best art galleries, restaurants, microbreweries, and coffee outfits make their home here, and fashion is diverse; from the high fashion of Lambton Quay to the op-shops of Cuba Mall. Overnight in Wellington.
Wellington
Today, you can visit the Te Papa Museum (optional). New Zealand’s national museum, renowned for being bicultural, scholarly, innovative, and fun. If you are fan of the Lord of the Rings films then a visit to the Middle Earth filming locations is a must. You can also take the Wellington Cable Car to the look out point and get amazing views of the city (optional). Overnight in Wellington.
Depart Wellington
Today the day is free, later proceed to the airport for flight back home.
